FAQs

How long will you stay at our wedding?

Depending on the package, I will either do a half-day shoot which is 6 hours, this usually runs from bridal prep to when you sit down for your meal. Or a full day which again starts at bridal prep but runs into the evening capturing your speeches, first dance and party shots - I will be bopping along whilst shooting.

How much deposit do I need to pay?

For a wedding 15 months or less away, I ask for a deposit of 25% to be paid. This is non-refundable but has a 14-day cooling-off period (if you do cancel within these 14 days, I will still keep £50 as an admin fee). For weddings 16+ months away I charge a 35% deposit.

Are all weddings edited in the same style?

I certainly lean into a certain edit style, but I’m happy to play about with specific vibes you like. If you have Pinterest boards or ideas of what you love in photographs, it would be great to see them. For example, if you want more black-and-white shots, I can definitely make that happen.

How far will you travel for a wedding?

I will travel globally (with travel expenses added), but if we’re talking just the UK, I’ll go wherever you need me. A 2-hour commute is included in my package costs and there would be an additional expense for anything further. I’m based between Berkshire and Wiltshire.

When do we pay the final balance?

The final payment for your wedding photography is due 28 days before the wedding date.

What will you wear on the day?

I will dress as comfortably as I can whilst still looking smart. Usually some form of black trousers and shirt/smart t-shirt and jacket with trainers or Doc Martins, anything that doesn’t make my feet feel like they’re going to fall off.

Are you insured?

I am indeed, my gear is covered and I have £2 million in public liability covered too.

When should we think about booking?

It’s best to book as far in advance to avoid disappointment and secure the date with me. After booking your venue is usually the perfect time to reach out. Saying that, it’s always worth asking even if it’s a last-minute thing, I’ll always do what I can to make it work!

Do we need to feed you?

Commonly, there will be a meal arranged for me if I’m with you for a full-day shoot. This would usually be eaten in a separate room/space from the wedding party.
